Library
Rules
- The library
is a quiet place to work and study. Students are asked to be respectful
of the needs of others. If group study is required, the librarians
will provide a place for that activity.
- Because food
and drink can damage library materials and equipment and attract
insects, eating and drinking are not allowed in the library. Students
who violate this rule will be required to remain after school
for 30 minutes to help the librarians prepare the library for
the next day.
- In order
to maintain a dignified atmosphere in the library, we ask students
to refrain from sitting on the tables, the ramp railings, or the
floor, and to pick up after themselves when they leave the library.
This includes: throwing trash into the wastebaskets, replacing
magazines and newspapers in the racks, returning books to the
main desk for shelving, and pushing chairs back under the tables.
- Students
who consistently do not follow the library's rules will lose library
privileges. Students who are repeatedly sent out of the library
for disciplinary reasons are subject to loss of library privileges
for the remainder of the school year.
