  • CMS principal, math department chair , and math department are analyzing test items and evaluating current math program
  • CMS Math department and special education teachers continue to collaborate to provide specialized math instruction to special education students
  • Focus Math classes are designed for intensive remediation 3x week for Grade 6 and 2x week for Grades 7/8
  • Differentiated math classes are scheduled for Grade 6

  •  Afterschool tutoring in math is provided for METCO students
  • Elementary math instructional time is 70 min. daily in grades 1-5
  • New curriculum, Second Edition of Revised Investigations, is taught in every elementary classroom
  • Grades 4-5 offer small skill group instruction
  • Math Specialist and grade level teams meet monthly with Principal to review student work
