ALCOTT SCHOOL PTGBIRTHDAY BOOKSWelcome |

|
Dear Alcott parents and students:
BIRTHDAY BOOKS is a program which provides each Alcott student with
the opportunity to purchase a book for the Alcott library in celebration
of their own birthday. Book selections are often made from a Wish List
provided by the Alcott School librarian, however, some students prefer
to specify a favorite title of their own. |

|
Students who have already participated in BIRTHDAY BOOKS take great pride in the fact that they are responsible for adding books to their library collection. Donating a book also heightens student awareness that the Alcott library exists for their reading pleasure. Since its inception in 1988 over 2800 new books have been donated to the Alcott library through the BIRTHDAY BOOKS program. Donations can be made at any time during the year. Our challenge is to continue the success of this program. Donations above and beyond the celebration of a child’s birthday are also welcome. For further information about this program please stop
by the Alcott library to chat with our librarian Sandy Peirce. Sandy is
happy to make suggestions for your BIRTHDAY BOOKS selections.
