| Physical Examinations |

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health requires physical
examinations of students during the first year after entrance into the public
school system or within six months before entrance. A student transferred
from another school system shall be treated as an entering student unless
health records are transferred showing that there has been adequate health
appraisal in the school year of transfer. Exemptions are allowed for religious
reasons and a signed statement by the parent/guardian must be on file in
the health record.
All students entering 7th grade, must have a physical exam, dated after
January 1st of that year. Notification of physical examination and immunication
requirements will be distributed to all students in grade 6.
