Mr. Tuttle's Second Grade Class

The Owl Page
This is the owl page. We studied owls throughout the winter months focusing on their adaptations. We learned about the great horned owl and their appetite for skunks as well as the snowy owl and its' winter visits to Logan Airport. We also learned about the plight of the spotted owl and people's efforts to save this important endangered species. We dissected owl pellets and a live owl visited our room! We also read a book called There's an Owl in the Shower.
